Getting started with Localdeck

Add your first project, confirm its detected settings, and start working.

Add your first project

Localdeck stores a local project configuration around a folder already on your Mac.

  1. Open Localdeck and press the plus button or use Command-N.
  2. Choose the project folder.
  3. Review the detected name, stack, execution command, editor, and local URL.
  4. Add a client or notes when they help identify the project.
  5. Save the project.

Start the project

Press Play to start only the configured development commands. Localdeck shows Initializing until the process is ready, then Running.

Use Start Workspace when you also want Localdeck to open the editor, wait for the local URL, and open selected links.

Useful next steps

  • Pin active projects so they remain at the top.
  • Add extra execution commands when a project needs a frontend, API, CMS, or worker.
  • Add linked local URLs before using Device Preview with a separate backend.
  • Open Usage to review time tracked while Localdeck-managed processes run.
